Bishop Eugene Tannehill
As crazy as this seems, Bishop Eugene Tannehill, the man in the FARM who had spent 50 years behind bars is now living 10 blocks from my home in Brooklyn. What’s more amazing is just how incredibly smooth the transition was. The reason is his faith in God is so strong that nothing shakes him. His energy is unequaled..In his mid 70′s he still jogs daily and whenever given the opportunity he lets loose in his preachings as though he were back in Angola channeling the drams and hopes of 5000 men and the scripture of the Good Book. I was at his house recently and he reminded me that the first time we met he told me, God had a plan for him and it included New York City. Well here he is and New York barely knows what they’ve got in their midst.
We’re filming this week and he’s going to play Saxophone with world class jazz bass player, Curtis Lundy (who also scored THE FARM 10 years ago). We’re filming it so you can see for yourself.

I just finished watching ‘The Miracle of Hope’ documentary. Been searching for more info about the people involved. If you happen to run into Bishop Eugene Tannehill again, please send him the message that his testimony is touching people everywhere and my prayer is that God will bless him and use him….and you too !!

Three years ago on a trip down to Angola, me and my christian biker brothers helped bring in 1000 bibles to Angola with some of our other brothers from North Carolina.David Minddendorf and his group met us there and we joined Daivd in a church service to watch him go through his program. The next morning Bishop Tannehill gave us front row seating for his service in the chappel.To say his service was moving would be an understatement. The entire place was full of inmates and us listening to The Bishop present The Word. The next year the Bishop was parolled. I have wanted to know where he would up and how he was doing. He seemed grateful at the time to have us there in Angola with him.
I hope Mr. Tannehill lives a long time. I hope God blesses him and i hope he is proud of Barack Obama.
I do not know who Mr. Eugene “Bishop” Tannehill as a person other than watching the documentary of Angola, which I have watched since the first one. I am so happy that I cried when I had seen that he is a FREE man living his life. He is so deserving a human being as anyone. He made a mistake an paid his price. I hope to think that life is fair. I know one thing. Warden Cain is a great man who deserves a lot of the credit. The fact he allowed camera’s at his prison without a doubt allowed the parole for these men. They are just hard working men trying to make a difference for all. I am so happy years later that some have benefited. If I could do anything for any of the men still incarcerated I will. I am proud today as a HUMAN BEING because the same person as me who belongs to the same species as I do is able to get a second and well deserved chance. YOU ARE A BLESSING!!!
As a psych student, I’ve been studying the power of redemption, and rehabilitation versus punishment in the prison setting. As a Christian, I often can’t reconcile what I learn academically with what I know spiritually.
I know this much – - God is alive and living at Angola! Bishop Tannehill is a miracle and a blessing and I’ve long been curious at how he is doing. Praise God!
I had the pleasure of meeting Bishop Tannehill as he spoke at my church, New Life Christian Center, in Hempstead, NY on 12/13/2009. It was such a moving sermon. It is such a blessing to know that after all that time in lock-up he was able to step out of there with such a strong mind!!

I just heard Bishop Tanniehill for the first time today. He was truly a blessing and I encourage every young person to go hear him if given the opportunity. What the devil means for evil, God will us for the advancement of is kingdom and to bring him glory. Keep praising God from who all blessings come.
I was blessed to hear Bishop Tanniehill speak at my church, Love & Unity Christian Fellowship on Sunday, June 27th for the first time, along with my son and my nephew, both teenagers. I would encourage every parent who has the opportunity to take their child or any child, for that matter, to go hear him share his testimony. It is powerful, compelling and spiritually stimulating to remind all that God is Real, God is Good, he has all Power and if you seek him first, all things will be added unto you! I saw where you where you were on TBN and you said that you has satanicforces took over your life.My husband has been taken over by satanic forces .His name is jorge walker,he was in christ but he went back into the world now he’s into all sorts of things.please,keep him in your prayers ,that the lord give him a contrite spirit and a clean heart,and clean hands.pray that the lord direct him to a overseer thats truly walking up right before God . prray that he get tired of living the life that he’s living and repent and comes back to God.Pray that he love his wife as christ love the church.Pray that the lord heal me where he hurt me in abuse.pray that the lord deliver and heal him.

What a preacher. I watched the man on tv last night for the first time and what a living testimony of God’s forgiveness love and patience. Be blessed.
I had never heard of Bishop Tannehill, I was at my parents home one night and my father told be about his testamony on TBN, I was so touched by the testimony I went back and looked up the archive from TBN and my husband and I listened for ourselves . This is truly a man of God and a testimony of the greatnest of our God. Bishop Tannehill has given me hope for my son who is in prison for 4 years, with a case still pending, my prayer is for God to fill him with his Holy Spirit and he comes home preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God Bless you Bishop, I hope to see you in person preaching one day.
I just heard about you on Sunday when my pastor mentioned the powerful man of God that you are. I have no clue who you are. I had you in mind to pray for my son who is not doing well in school, good boy but just cannot do well academically.
